Manners, please!

This is what our heart looks like..

Yeah, it is one of the wonderful creation in our body, isn'it? (well, of course the picture shown is not really a figure of how our heart looks like because medically speaking;our jantung doesn't look like that ;)

We have a lot of malay proverbs and sayings that are closely related to our HEART (like suka HATI, patah HATI, ect) if you can recall back what you've learnt during Bahasa Melayu lessons in high school. (I can barely remember most of them, actually..hehe)..lets try this; makan hati? you should know the meaning, right? ;)

MAKAN HATI..Well, I'm not really sure weather it is one of the simpulan bahasa or just a bahasa pasar widely used in our society..let me ask you this, how often do you makan hati with the people surrounding you or in other words, feeling OFFENDED??

I dare to say that most of the makan hati situation happened because of the what the other's DO and TALK. It because of the ACTIONS and WORDS; because what do the others did and say will be perfectly digested  in our heart and of course; some of them will certainly scratch the heart and leave a wounded scar.

This is because of our MANNERS; which most of our urban, modern-styled people today are lacking. We tend to forgot the courtesy of the traditional MALAY people; the budi bahasa that is perfectly blended with sopan-santun which will certainly portrayed a perfect malay tradition.

The lacking of manners can be widely seen nowdays;

Which one would you choose to hear, 'woi Siti, amekkan buku tue!' or 'Siti, boleh tolong ambilkan buku tu tak? terima kasih'..You have your ears to listen, so do your brain to judge. So, choose.

Sometimes, we sincerely helped our friends without expecting any kind of reward...nevertheless, we should at least deserve a kind word of 'THANK YOU',right? It'll be a little bit upsetting not to hear the word for at least a tiny mark for appreciation..

The word THANK YOU will sincerely shows our gratitude and appreciation. It will just take less than a second to force these two words to come out of the throat. However, why is it so hard for some of the people to say that? it it because of PRIDE or what?

Think of the small little actions in your life..do you say 'thank you' to the pakcik that give you the balance of your payment at the stall? do you say 'thank you' when your friend help you to pick just a book?do you say 'thank you' when your parents give you some pocket money before you go to school everyday? and do you ever think how many 'terima kasih' have you ever said to your beloved mama and papa after all the things they had done in your life?Come on, people.Just think about it. Your manners will overcome EVERYTHING and reflects WHO YOU ARE.. (nothing to be proud of when a person have everything;with the perfect looks and great wealth........but with almost no manners -.-).

Just be careful with what that comes out of mouth. Dont just simply cakap lepas or else, many people will get offended or makan hati. Approach people with very nice greetings like assalamualaikum or simply by saying hai instead of woiii!..TRAIN your tongue from now on to say BASIC words like 'I'm sorry', 'Excuse Me' and 'Thank You' and learn to be more sincere besides showing appropriate manners toward the others.

Well, do you actually realised HOW MANY people have actually makan hati with your words so far? U'll never get the correct counts, because most of the makan hati episodes are just kept in the heart. Remember;
Be careful with your words.Some of them are like swords. You'll never know how many heart will be stabbed by them.

 Start practicing to say 'thank you' and 'I'm sorry' more often. These are the magical words that can SOFTEN one's HEART. TRUST ME.
